The Land Trust is a community conservation organization. Although we are a mostly volunteer organization, we rely on our member and supporter contributions to cover our regular annual operating expenses (around $20,000/for 2008) that include insurance, monitoring cost, state and national land trust dues, tax and water and sanitation fees on non-easement holdings, website maintenance, appraisal, transfer, title and easement costs and consulting fees to develop grants and provide biological advise – all direct costs of accomplishing our conservation goals.
